October was a month of trying to get settled in along with the stresses of buying new things for the apartment. The unpacking continues but hopefully not for too long.

While Tom found his new Starbucks home to have a very warm and friendly staff it is also nice to occasionally enjoy Starbucks in the parks. Nothing like breakfast with a view of Cinderella’s castle. Also the people watching is a hoot. Tom loves sitting on a bench or at a table and watch people speeding by to get to the next ride or wait to see the next most magical toddler meltdown. I hear ya kid, I’m tired too. Must be time to head home for a nap.

Not only is is nice to watch the Dapper Dans sing on Main Street but today Tom finally got to buy himself his first cowboy hat.

A trip to Animal Kingdom to spend some time with the animals. This bird was very playful and brought a smile to my face. The Gorillas were all just chillin’ in their yard but looked so beautiful with their shiny coats.

Spending time out on the balcony is wonderful. I can’t wait until it gets cool enough to tap a nice nap out here. We also saw our first alligator in the lake out back. I am definitely giving him as much space as he wants.

Went to City Walk at Universal for dinner and discovered Big Fire. It was a lot of fun watching the chefs in the kitchen working hard. I have never seen that type of grill before. They were able to tilt it to add more wood to the fire and move the grill closer or further away from the flame. First restaurant I have seen with four separate grills with a chef on each.

Finally bought an area rug so now my chair will stop sliding into the wall each time I sit down. Got the Disney magnets up on the back of the front and patio doors.

Date night so we hit up Port Orleans Riverside for dinner followed by a nice evening stroll to Port Orleans French Quarter to go listen to Jazz music at the Scat Club.

This is a new one for me. A gas station that only has pull in spots for gas. I wasn’t sure if it was safer to pull in or back in.

Alicia’s Yo-Yo club met at this interesting place in Orlando called The Great Southern Box Company. Think mall food court but instead of chain restaurants here you would find the types of places you expect in food trucks. The large garage doors opened up so there was inside seating that flowed into the outdoors. A nice lawn area with covered and uncovered tables outside. It was a nice day and different way to have lunch.

Saw these cute themed acorn tables at Epcot during food and wine. Also, found the DVC lounge (upstairs) in Disney Springs with a nice balcony great for people watching.

Looks like Alicia has a new hobby. Hopefully it will drown out the kids upstairs, or at least lull them to sleep.

Alicia getting some action shots in the park with her yo-yo and Tom being Tom making new friends wherever he goes. Dinner at Germany in EPCOT and Alicia struggled to finish that liter of grapefruit beer. We also explored downtown Celebration and sampled their culinary scene.
